Understanding the landscape of early stage funding
One of the most common questions from startup founders is: From where can I get funding to my startup?
Startup funding is black box for many founders and we are therefore dedicating the next Preseed Academy to demystify the topic! We will be covering startup funding from various perspectives, where you will get an overview of the funding landscape from a business angels, plus insights on the investment criteria from an investment manager at an early-stage investment fund, and finally we will have a startup at stage explaining the lessons learned in the quest for funding.
For the first time ever, Preseed Academy will also be held outside Copenhagen, since the talk on startup funding will be organized in both Aarhus (April 4th) and Copenhagen (April 3rd).

Speaker info:
– Nicolaj Højer Nielsen is our trusted partner in crime at PreSeed Academy but he’s also a business angel and author of the Startup Funding Book. Nicolaj will tie the talks together, and try to look at startup funding in a larger context to help you understand how to improve your chance of getting funding from either a business angel or early-stage investment fund.
– Alexander Viterbo-Horten is Investment Manager in PreSeed Ventures. Alexander will share insights on startup funding seen from the investor perspective, more specifically from the perspective of Preseed Ventures which is an early-stage investment fund. What are the major ground rules you just can’t break? And what seperates the interesting from the less interesting cases in the mind of an early stage investor? This is your change to get in the head of an investor before you’re sitting on opposite sides of the table.
